  • When I start peddling from a stop, I notice a skip. What is that?

Check your chain. In the event that a chain is stretched past capacity, it will need replaced. If the chain has stretched to capacity without any prior routine maintenance the rear cassette will also need to be replaced in order to handle the power generated from the tight new chain. If you are in the middle of a ride and this happens for the first time, avoid heavy initial power transfer when resuming after stopping. Many different variances apply to how many miles you will get out of a chain
